What to expect at your lash lift appointment

Lash lifts are all the rage and wildly popular during the summer months because of how low maintenance they are. Unlike lash extensions, maintenance appointments are scheduled every 7-8 weeks as opposed to every 2-3 weeks. This blog is going to give you a BTS look at a lash lift appointment with photos of a lash lift by Morgan.

01. consultation

When you first arrive we have a short consultation with you to discuss the type of lash curl you’re hoping to achieve with your lash lift as well as physically assess the health of your natural lashes. This is an important step because we want to make sure you are a good candidate for a lash lift before we get started. A few things that we specifically look for are the length of your natural lashes, the health of your natural lashes, and the thickness of your natural lashes.

02. Prep

After we complete the consultation you get comfortable on your treatment table and we prep your lashes by thoroughly cleaning them with our Borboleta Breakdown Makeup Remover and/or Borboleta Lash Bath.

Next, we secure your bottom lashes down and out of the way with pro-medical tape. This helps to make sure we are only processing your top lashes.

Finally, based on our consultation we secure an appropriately sized lash shield to your lash lid with a water-based adhesive. This is what we will secure your lashes to while we are applying products to give you that beautiful lash lift.

03. Products

After you are prepped for your lash lift we secure your lashes to the shield (or rod) using the same water-based adhesive. During this process, we take special care to make sure your lashes are perfectly aligned and straight so this step generally takes us a little bit more time. Keeping the lashes straight and perfectly aligned is crucial to the lash lift final results.

Products are then applied then removed in a specific order and timed based on your natural lash thickness.

04. Optional Lash Tint

Should you choose to add a lash tint to your lash lift we add that at this point. The lash tint is again left on for specific length of time. Lash lifts are a great add on for those with lighter colored lashes.

05. The final touches

At Remedy Beauty Co. we do like to add a few perks to our lash lift services to elevate the guest experience. As we finish the lash lift we can add on a Cool Down Eye treatment.
